Kyle Coetzer is one of the most experienced batter in the lineup. Although he has opened almost all his life, it would still make sense for him to bat at 3 with MacLeod at 4, who is the best player of spin not only in the Scotland team but also amongst all the Associate nations.

The most impactful change out of all the competing nations can be made by Scotland, and that is to let Michael Leask open the batting with Munsey. Munsey is easily the most attacking batter and with Leask joining hands up top, they can become a deadly duo for teams to deal with. This will basically allow attacking batters first-up to maximize the PP, stabilizers at #3-#4, and trustworthy big-hitters to finish off the innings in Richie Berrington, Oli Hairs, etc.

This provides a fine balance to the team as far as their batting is concerned.
